A word from Think U Know:
Thank you to everyone who has told us their plans for Safer Internet Day 2010 so far - please keep sending us your events! If you haven’t seen it already, we have an interactive map highlighting local initiatives and activities planned for SID10. You can publicise your activities and inform members of the public in your local area where they can find out more information and find out about fellow initiatives in your locality. Members of the press may be interested in covering events within your area so make sure to provide a contact email if you’re happy for them to cover your SID10 event.
Want to get involved but not sure how? Here you will also find suggestions of awareness raising activities to inspire you!

SID10 Competition
We have been overwhelmed with entries for the Competition - thank you to everyone who got involved for all their hard work. The quality of the entries was very high and our judges had a tough decision to award a winner from each group. Those with winning entries have now been contacted and we will be announcing the details on the site next week.
Click Clever Click Safe
Safer Internet Day will also see the launch of a a new public awareness campaign from the UK Council for Child Internet Safety. The Click Clever, Click Safe campaign will highlight a new online 'green cross code' - Zip it, Block it, Flag it. The new code will help children and young people to understand the simple behaviours that will enable them to enjoy the internet safely. Look out for further information.
